JoAnne Maloney was born in Kansas City, Kansas, where she grew up in Overland Park, KS until moving to Conway, South Carolina in fall 2014 to continue her education at Coastal Carolina University (CCU). Prior to CCU, Maloney was a part of the Blue Valley school district, where she was a student-athlete playing volleyball year-round, both for the school and competitively for ten years. Maloney is expected to graduate in May 2018 with both a Bachelors of Arts in Graphic Design and Art Studio, with minors in photography and Spanish. While in South Carolina, she has continued her love of volleyball by coaching at both the high school and competitive levels.
